Children like adults face daily stresses on the mind and body, especially in this COVID environment where mobility and activeness may not be as frequent. This includes inability to regulate emotions, overeating, decreased ability to use one’s imagination (especially with technology in this day and age). Coupled with negative body image, low self-esteem, all of these factors may lead to increased depression, anxiety, and a general lack of respect and compassion for others.
Yoga is a great way to improve children's endurance for other physical activities. Whether after school, sports, and other activities, yoga helps bodies to relax while breathing, stretching and strengthening.
Yoga not only improves the body, but also helps with breathing, mindfulness and meditation.
Yoga is meant for everyone and as a means for changing the world. Yogamazia however understands that not every person or family may have the financial means and economic status to do so. We are therefore committed to ensuring that we still provide access and opportunity to anyone of low-income or non-dominant communities. If you, or anyone that you know, would desire to be a part of this wonderful community and benefit from Yogamazia services but lack the financial resources, please contact us. We welcome everyone to come as they are!
All Yogamazia classes are structured according to developmental goals to create a safe, judgement-free, and compassionate space for children of all ages, including those with additional needs.
We feature well-trained, professional instructors, a non-competitive and encouraging atmosphere, whether in studio or out in the community.
Help your child find their peace to cope with anxiety, anger and stress with us.
We understand that not everyone can make it to a yoga studio; this is why we offer many options, including traveling to you/providing mats if needed.
